We recently hosted a 6-day build filled with energy and excitement. This home, sponsored by the Isla Carroll Turner Friendship Trust, is located in our Northeast Houston neighborhood, Milby Park – at the intersection of Mesa Dr & Sterlingshire.
As a true community event, the week’s building was coordinated by SLGT (Support Local Grow Together) – a rapidly growing Houston-based initiative that focuses on the benefits of supporting local businesses. SLGT and Houston Habitat formed a natural partnership based on the mutual desire to inspire growth and transformation in Houston. SLGT invited out all of their friends and supporters, and more than 80 folks joined us from Monday Sept. 13 to Saturday Sept. 18.
Houston Habitat sends a very warm thank you to those who made this build possible: the Isla Carroll Turner Friendship Trust, SLGT, Dessert Gallery (delicious lunch sponsor), and the many others who helped support our crew: Smart Meals, Massage Envy, We Heart Massage, Boulevard Realty and each and every one of the volunteers who came out.
